PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION 

Responsible for performing, with assistance, accounting structuring, metering and billing in a timely and accurate manner as it pertains to customer bills and revenue reporting; gaining the skills and knowledge of analyzing, metering, and billing all customer accounts.

Qualifications

REQUIRED
  • Associate's degree in Business, Accounting or a related field OR the equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
  • Experience demonstrating skill using basic functions of PC-based spreadsheet, word processing and e-mail software.
  • Experience demonstrating skill using addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, averages, etc.
  • Experience demonstrating skill communicating (in writing, via telephone, person-to-person) with others within a work environment.
  • Experience demonstrating skill using the Customer Relation Management and Billing (CRM&B) system.
  • Ability and willingness to successfully complete the required training for the Revenue Analyst progression.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to various company locations.
  • Ability and willingness to work extended shifts, weekends, and be on 24-hour emergency call-out with little or no prior notice as required.
  • Ability and willingness to walk, stand and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability and willingness to input data into the computer for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability and willingness to lift or carry, push or pull, or handle material on a daily basis up to 10 pounds but not to exceed 50 pounds.
  • Ability and willingness to meet daily and monthly deadlines. Ability and willingness to work on and complete complex projects in a timely manner.
  • Ability and willingness to perform a Second Role in accordance with Pepco Holdings, an Exelon Company, Emergency Preparedness Guidelines for all employees.
  • Must successfully pass Qualification Test.
  • Must successfully pass a Criminal History Background Check

PREFERRED
  • Experience demonstrating skill issuing billing and metering corrections and adjustments for demand, non-demand, residential and time-of-use customer accounts.
  • Experience demonstrating skill analyzing customer account structures, account receivables and billing calculations for accuracy.
  • Experience participating in cross-functional intra- and inter-departmental work groups.
  • Experience demonstrating skill performing general administrative duties, such as ordering supplies, sorting and distributing mail.
  • Experience demonstrating skill using intermediate functions of PC-based spreadsheet, word processing and/or e-mail software.
  • Experience demonstrating skill interacting with internal and/or external customers to resolve problems.
