POSITION SUMMARY

Provide business function support in the PHI Claims-Damage Prevention Department of Exelon to assist in achieving corporate goals related to safety, excavation best practices and reduction of underground facility damage incidents.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Protection of company infrastructure assets through proper observations, field investigations to identify at fault-root cause parties and pre-excavation field audits of contractors and PHI locate vendors.  Document damages through investigation process to assist claims in collection for damages.  Document, track and provide locate technician follow-up for failed audits and/or at fault damage incidences.
2. Minimize company liability exposure through effective quality assurance and educational campaigns/programs.
3. Maintain internal/external customer satisfaction while balancing effective damage prevention practices.

4. Demonstrated ability to assist in handling work load applicable to multi-jurisdictions (NJ, DE, MD). Work locations listed represent the primary regions for the position and do not necessarily represent an onsite location where daily work is to be performed as travel to offsite destinations is required.

5. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate at all levels both internally and externally.

6. Demonstrated ability to prepare reports and documentation in connection with performance metrics and cost recovery.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND/OR EXPERIENCE 

Bachelor’s Degree in related field and 2-5 years experience in:
-Locating and investigating damage claims pertaining to gas and electric utilities
-Knowledge of Underground Facility Damage laws in the NJ, DE and MD jurisdictions
-Knowledge of 811 Best Practices in NJ, DE and MD jurisdictions
-Demonstrated ability to perform investigative field and associated reporting work that requires internal and mobile compute equipment and systems 
 
Additional Job Requirements

Valid driver’s license
Job is performed primarily outdoors during normal business hours but could require extended 24/7 coverage
